Card Basic level of Phytosanitary use
Royal Decree 1311/2012, of September 14, which establishes the framework for action to achieve a sustainable use of plant protection products, in article 17 of chapter IV, establishes the training requirements for professional users and sellers.
As of November 26, 2015, professional users and sellers of phytosanitary products must be in possession of a card that certifies appropriate knowledge to carry out their activity. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment has approved Decree 5/2014 regulating the training of professional users and sellers of phytosanitary products to obtain the professional user cards of pesticides in their different levels of training.
Basic Level: aimed at auxiliary personnel of land and air treatments, including non-agricultural and farmers who perform them on their own farm without using auxiliary personnel and using phytosanitary products that are not or generate toxic, very toxic, or deadly gases. They will also be issued for the auxiliary personnel of the distribution that manipulate phytosanitary products.
